on which the School of Life Sciences was established in 1994. The School is
composed of two departments (Department of Biology and Department of
Biotechnology), two research institutes (Institute of Genetics and Cytology, and
Institute of Grassland Science), and one national laboratory (Laboratory of
Grassland Ecology Engineering). The School also has a variety of teaching and
research facilities including the Electron Microscope Center, the Experimental
Center, the Biology Library, the Biological Specimens Museum, etc. The School
occupies a total of floor space of 18,000 square meters, providing spacious room
